— About
The best brands are experienced, not just seen.
A brand doesn’t stop at the identity. It lives in the spaces people enter, the materials they interact with, and the communications they encounter along the way. Studiokb helps creative teams bridge the gap between brand and experience—translating established identities into thoughtful, cohesive touchpoints across environments, print, and digital.
Meet Kristin
I’m Kristin Brown, the designer behind Studiokb. With 8+ years of experience spanning environmental graphics, brand communications, and the AEC industry—and a background in interior design—I’ve spent much of my career collaborating alongside architects, interior designers, marketers, and multidisciplinary design teams. That combination of graphic and spatial thinking shapes the way I approach design today: understanding an established creative direction and thoughtfully carrying it forward. From environmental graphics and wayfinding to presentations and print, I help creative teams extend their capabilities and create cohesive brand experiences across spaces and communications. Think of Studiokb as an extension of your creative team—bringing specialized design support when and where a project needs it.

Creating a Cohesive Brand Experience
Iron Hop Taphouse was designed to be more than a craft beer destination—it was envisioned as a welcoming neighborhood gathering place. StudioKB translated the brand across the customer experience, creating a cohesive visual language that carried from the physical environment into menus, merchandise, marketing materials, and digital touchpoints.
The approach: Rather than treating each application as a standalone piece, the brand was considered as a connected experience. Environmental graphics, murals, signage, furniture selections, print collateral, merchandise, and digital communications worked together to create a recognizable sense of place—one that felt warm, approachable, and distinctly Iron Hop.
Translating a Brand Into a Sales Story
Middle West Studio had an established visual identity but needed a presentation system that could carry that brand into client conversations. StudioKB translated their existing visual language into a flexible pitch deck designed to communicate their process, expertise, and portfolio with clarity.
The approach: StudioKB built on Middle West Studio’s existing brand identity, translating its visual language into a flexible presentation system. Thoughtful typography, imagery, and layout created a clear narrative that guides potential clients through the studio’s process, expertise, and work—while giving the team a polished tool that can evolve with future presentations and proposals.
Extending Place Through Environmental Graphics
At Dane County Regional Airport, I contributed environmental graphics and wayfinding elements as part of a multidisciplinary team at Mead & Hunt. The work extended the airport’s established architectural character into the passenger experience through custom floor graphics, wall treatments, and workplace graphics—creating visual moments that felt integrated with the surrounding environment rather than applied as an afterthought.
The approach: Drawing from the airport’s existing Frank Lloyd Wright–inspired architecture, I used geometry, pattern, and materiality as a foundation for the environmental graphics. These elements were reinterpreted through a contemporary lens to complement the architecture, reinforce a sense of place, and create a cohesive experience throughout the terminal.
